Get to know me: 

Hi there, 

Thank you so much for taking the time to check in with me. My name is Amy and I'm a self care mentor. I first connected to the practice of self care as student, I was working in two highly demanding jobs whilst studying for my degree, and to be honest I was completely overwhelmed and running on empty, I was suffering with horrendous anxiety and was living in survival mode.

With a keen interest in self development already, I turned to books, podcasts, videos, anything I could get my hands on to try and alleviate some of the stress and anxiety that had me in its grasp. The words of people like Gabrielle Bernstein, Rebecca Campbell, Matt Haig, Mell Wells, Jess Lively, and Abraham Hicks became my guides and slowly, slowly I started to feel better and more connected to myself.

Over the years I continued to learn and explore, trying new things and playing with what the notion of self care could mean to me. However, as the term became more and more prevalent on social media and within popular culture I noticed that there always seemed to be strings attached or expectations to factor in, with Instagram showing image upon image of candles and bubble baths, yoga mats and meditation cushions, luxury holidays and green juice. Now don't get me wrong, I love a bit of yoga and a bubble bath, and I certainly consider these things to be self care, but the thing I have come to realise is, that while self care can absolutely be all of the above, it can also be so so much more, and look absolutely nothing like those visions.   

As a way of sharing this message and helping others connect to the concept of self care in an intuitive, compassionate way I started Let’s Get Back to You-and here we are. With a psychology degree, over 5 years industry experience (working in the field of well-being and mental health) and a wealth of experience learning and applying tools and strategies to my own life, I support others in reconnecting to themselves, redefining self care (minus the strings) and exploring how they can make a positive, sustainable impact to their wellbeing day to day.

I provide support one to one via phone, video call, or face to face, so that you can connect with me in whichever way is right for you. Also, with a selection of different programs and options available, no matter where you are on your self care journey the right support is here.
